He passed away in 1284 AH, during the blessed month of Ramadan, on a Friday, at the time of the Fajr prayer, while in the state of fasting. Such a passing is regarded as a supreme blessing for the servants of God.

On a Friday morning, by the command of God,
Occurred the departure of that man of trust and asceticism.
Wahid al-Din, the one who relied upon Allah, hastened toward the Hereafter;
A heavenly voice proclaimed: Wahid al-Din turned his face away from the world.
