This saint was a highly eminent practicing scholar and an unparalleled learned person. He was affiliated with the Silsila-e-Aliya Madariya and was a distinguished خليفة and successor of this great spiritual order. He was a recipient of spiritual grace from his revered father Hazrat Muhammad Sharif Rahmatullahi Alaih, while his spiritual and familial connection was linked to Sheikh-ut-Tariqat Burhan-ul-Haqiqat Qazi Mahmood Garg Danishmandan Tegh Barahna Kanturi Rahmatullahi Alaih, who is regarded among the كبار saints of Tariqat and Haqiqat.

In the book Bahr Zakhkhar, an interesting incident is mentioned that once he turned towards a saint to obtain spiritual benefits. In the heart of that saint, the thought arose that he should remove him from the Silsila-e-Madariya and include him in his own order. During this thought, he saw in a dream that countless malangs (saints) were reproaching him with great anger and majesty, saying: “Do you intend to take our son into your own order?”

When that saint awoke, he immediately came to him, narrated the entire incident, and admitted that he could not compete with the fuqara of the Silsila-e-Madariya. Thus, he also expressed his apology in writing and respectfully sent him off. From this incident, his spiritual rank and the greatness of the Silsila-e-Madariya become evident.

Another incident reveals his miracle. Once, his son Ghulam Badiuddin, also known as Shah Miyan, submitted that it is difficult for the intellect to understand how a person can be present at multiple places at the same time. He replied that Allah Almighty grants such power to His saints, and there is nothing surprising in it.

Then he picked up a small stone and placed it on his fingers and said: “Look.” When it was observed, there was a similar stone present on each of the fingers of his blessed hand. Upon witnessing this miracle, his son’s astonishment was removed and a new passion of divine love arose in his heart.

His demise occurred on 22 Dhu al-Qa‘dah 1100 Hijri. His blessed shrine is located in Kantur Sharif, where even today devotees visit and receive spiritual blessings.

Upon his demise, the following chronogram was composed:
Salik-e-rah-e-Khuda aan shah-e-Syed ata
Raft az dar-ul-fana chun sue dar-ul-baqa
Haatifi tareekh o guft bagoosham khirad
Aah ze afaaq raft zuhda-e-ahl-e-safa
